An education was released on 8 October in New Zealand. It is directed by Lone Scherfig and written by Lynn Barber and Nick Homby. Cast includes Carey Mulligan, Olivia Williams, Peter Sarsgaard, Cara Seymour, Alfred Molina, William Melling, Connor Catchpole, Matthew Beard, Amanda Fairbank-Hynes, Ellie Kendrick, Dominic Cooper, Rosamund Pike, Nick Sampson, Kate Duchene and Bel Parker. It is getting good response from the audience and generated $ 940,265 revenue at Box Office.

The movie is about a girl Jenny (Carey Mulligan) who on her 17 th birthday finds herself in love with a mature person David (Peter Sarsgaard). Before meeting to David Jenny was a brilliant and successful student and her life was going smoothly.

Amelia is a great movie with sad journey and fictionalize story of Amelia Earhart the well known women pilot, whose vanishing is still a mystery till now. Hilary Swan has great similarity to her real-life. And Lady Lindbergh did justice by performing marvelous role.

The movie is not an action movie and not about the exposure of any Characters. Earhart was married to publisher George Putnam (Richard Gere) but the marriage was not a traditional marriage. Earhart had feelings for Gene Vidal who played the character of McGregor.

Swank’s lively and energetic looks create the delusion that Earhart herself on the screen, the ideal picture of the first person after Charles Lindbergh to fly solo across the Atlantic.

It’s really fun to watch her marketing effort with her line up of luggage and dresses, as she try to keep away, the labels females and longs to mold its celebrities. Small girls and young girls wanted to look like her. But she did everything to finance her flight.

I can’t understand the reason that why screenplay toys are so much with some of the details. But the movie is a good source of entertainment. And the laughter it generates is up to the mark.

Earhart proves her as the ideals who deny to compromise in spite of the studs she knew to jump. It’s a courageous movie but targeted its class audience.

Astro Boy was released on 23 October. It is a children movie and directed by David Bowers, and written by Timothy Harris and David Bowers. Cast includes Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Bill Nighy and Freddie Highmore. Astro Boy generated $6,702,923 revenue at Box office and getting good response from the young audience.

The movie is based on the comic book series by Osamu Tezuka. The story is about a young boy Toby who lived in Metro City near Planet Earth with his father Dr. Tenma. There robots works for humans. Toby died in an accident and his father decided to make a robot that looks like Toby. Toby was not only a robot that has consciousness and has ability to talk but also has superpowers like x-ray vision and extra strength and he uses his power to keep away from the persons who wanted to destroy the robots.

Movie is an excellent mixture sci-fi, action, adventure and drama. Few scenes are very interesting and amusing like when Astro files around Metro City and he first discovers he has superpowers. Movie is good and is the best source of entertainment for the younger audience. One complaint for the director that it should have been in 3-D. Movie has kid-friendly story and kids will really like it.

A Serious Man was released on 2nd October 2009.Movie is directed written and produced by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. Cast includes Michael Stuhlbarg, Fred Melamed, Richard Kind, Jessica McManus, Aaron Wolf, and Sari Wagner. Movie is running successfully and generated $1,843,307 revenue at box office. All the actors portray their characters with full devotion and justice.

A serious man is a comedy movie and is about the ordinary man who searches for the clarity in the universe. Larry Gopnik (Michael Stuhlbarg) who is a physics professor in Midwestern University. He gets shock when her wife wanted to leave her due to fall in love with another man. She feels quite happy with his boyfriend Sy Ableman (Fred Melamed) than his husband Larry. Larry’s brother is unemployable named Arthur (Richard Kind) and his son is suffering from the discipline problem and not taking interest at Hebrew school and his daughter Sarah (Jessica McManus) steals money from his wallet to save her job.

His wife and her boyfriend make plans for new arrangements and his brother becomes more burden. More tension risen up in his life, when he received a unknown letter for the chances of Larry’s torment at the university and a student of graduation offer him bribe for passing grade and also threatened him for insult.

A Serious Man is a personal and spiritual production. However their different approach not yells action and everyone in the cast is prepared to deliver their lines.

Law Abiding Citizen was released on 16 October 2009. Movie is directed by F.Gray Gray, written by Kurt Wimmer and produced by Mark Gill, Gerard Butler, Lucas Foster, Alan Siegel and Kurt Wimme. It generated $21,039,502 revenue at box office and still getting good response from the audience. The movie is complete package of drama and thrill. All the actors performed very well. Its cast includes Jamie Foxx, Gerard Butler, Bruce McGill, and Viola Davis.

Law Abiding Citizen is about the revenge of the Gerard Butler. He played the role of engineer and spending peaceful life with his wife and daughter. The climax begins when two men entered into his home and injure him and kill his daughter and wife. Brokenhearted but considering that his case is clear cut, he is surprised when the young assistant DA (Jamie Foxx) acting against the case, and makes a contract that allows a short sentence for the killer of the wife and child in replace for his proof against the other man.

After ten years, the criminal murderer is facing fatal injection. Butler’s planed for revenge is revealed out, and we find out that Butler is not who he has appeared to be and the senior assistant DA Foxx has his hand over with smart resources.

The movie is full of shocks and surprises and is a good thriller.

Movie “Where the wild things are” released on 16 October 2009. It is a children movie and starring Paul Dano, Forest Whitaker, Mark Ruffalo, and Catherine Keener.“Where the wild things are” is book, written by Maurice Sendak and is a classic children’s story. Movie is directed by Spike Jonze. It generated $32,695,407 revenue at box office and still getting good response from the audience.

The story is about a little boy named Max, who runs away from his home and went on an island with a hazardous but lovable giant, who want to eat him first but became his lovely friend. Movie was cute and about very little life. When we think about children’s movie the word animation comes in mind but Spike Jonze make this movie completely different. He creates a monster in a beautiful way and put him in the world, to face extraordinary exciting adventure.

Everything in the movie is favorable, the costumes, facial expression, style, music are just awesome. The most impressing thing is the performance of that little kid Max, he performed brilliantly. And the movie successfully represents the emotions of wild little boy truly.

The movie is acceptable for the children whose ages are above 10, because small kids may scream out while watching the monster. But big kids really enjoy the movie instead of getting scare.

Stepfather was released on 16 October 2009 and is a remake of 1987 American horror movie. It is directed by Nelson McCormick and written by J.S Cardone. It is a horror movie and starring Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley, Amber Heard, Paige Turco, Sherry Stringfield and Jon Tenney. Movie is getting good response from the audience and genereatd $12,768,691 revenue at box office. All actors performed well.

Movie is about the Michael Harding (Penn Badgley).When he returns home after attending military school he astonished by meeting his mother’s new boy friend David Harris(Dylan Walsh) and his mother is happily in love with him. He appear as a perfect father and husband to everyone except Michael because he thinks that David is just pretending to be nice.

With his girlfriend Kelly (Amber Heard) and his real dad Jay (Jon Tenney) and Susans friends (Paige Turco and Sherry Stringfield), they gradually start to find out the real mystery of David. But they realized that it will take time to know the reality.

I hanged out with my friends on last Saturday to watch movie Extract. Movie was released on 4th September 2009 world wide. It is directed and written by Mike Judge and produced by John Altschuler and Micheal Rotenberg. Starring Jason Bateman, Mila Kunis, Kristen Wiig, J.K Simmons, Clifton Collins, Gene Simmons, Ben Affleck, Beth and Grant David Koechner. All stars performed pretty well, we enjoyed all the scenes of the movie.

Mike Judge is famous for his first two films Office Space and Idiocarcy, now he is in the limelight with his new film Extract. It is a comedy movie and containing good laugh. Jason Bateman is the hero of the movie and playing role of the owner of an extract factory and is disappointed with his business and his wife Kristen Wiig. He and his friend Dean begins series of mistakes and put it all at risk. His shame spiral make worse by cunning Mila Kunis, who put herself where she can do the maximum damage.

After twenty years he took on General Motors with his wonderful debut Roger and Me and in this movie he is playing the same sort of character.
